MIAMI (AP) -David Wright singled in the second inning Wednesday to extend his career-best hitting streak to 25 games, a franchise record over two seasons for the New York Mets.
Hubie Brooks (1984) and Mike Piazza (1999) share the one-season record of 24 games in a row.
Wright, whose single came off Dontrelle Willis of the Florida Marlins, has a hit in all 13 games this season.
