Allstate 400 Odds
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to action on Sunday, July 26 with the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard in Indianapolis. Three-time defending Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson is the pre-race favorite to win.
Johnson has opened as a 5/1 favorite to win this year’s Allstate 400, according to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGlobal. Other drivers receiving short odds for this weekend’s race are Tony Stewart (6/1), Mark Martin (7/1), Jeff Gordon (7/1), Carl Edwards (8/1), and Kyle Busch (8/1).
Johnson enters the race as the favorite after winning the 2008 race from the pole position. Johnson was also the 2006 Brickyard winner. This season, after a slow start, Johnson has climbed to third in the Sprint Cup standings, 212 points behind the leader, Stewart. Johnson has 13 Top 10 finishes in 19 races and eight top 5’s and two wins.
Like Johnson, Stewart has two wins in Indianapolis, winning the 2007 and 2005 Allstate 400. Stewart holds the lead in the Sprint Cup standings by 175 points thanks to two wins and 11 top 5 finishes in his 19 races.
Martin is coming off a win last weekend in the LifeLock.com 400 where he led 195 of 267 laps. The win pushed Martin to 11th in the standings, which would put in him the Chase for the Championship. Martin has four wins this season, but has never taken the checkered flag at the Brickyard.
Gordon holds four wins all-time in Indianapolis, with his last coming in 2004. Gordon is currently second in the Sprint Cup standings and has one win with 10 top 10 finishes this season.
The Allstate 400 will take place Sunday, July 26 from Indianapolis Motor Speedway at 2 p.m. ET. For complete odds and track information on this year’s event, see below.
