Stewart gets first win of 2010
Tony Stewart got his first win of the 2010 season on Sunday as he took the checkered flag in the Emory Healthcare 500.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL gave Stewart 12/1 odds to win Sunday’s race, meaning a bet of $100 on Stewart will pay out $1,200.
A late restart allowed Stewart to pull away from Carl Edwards in order to get the victory. It was the 38th win of his career and assured him a spot in the Chase for the Championship.
Jimmie Johnson, who was the pre-event favorite to win, came in third and also locked up a spot in the chase while Jeff Burton and Kyle Busch, who are also involved in the chase, rounded out the top five.
