Johnson wins again
Jimmie Johnson picked up his 50th career Sprint Cup victory on Sunday as he took first in the 2010
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com gave Johnson 10/1 odds to win Sunday’s race, meaning a bet of $100 on Johnson will pay out $1,000.
Johnson wasn’t in contention until a caution flag came out late in the race and forced a restart with 10 laps remaining. Johnson jumped from sixth to first in three laps and went on to hold off Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch for the victory.
Johnson led a total of 84 laps in the race to earn 190 points and give him his third win of the season in just six races. It is actually Johnson’s third win in the last four races.
Kurt Busch led the most laps of the day, as he was up front in 278 laps. Busch finished third behind Johnson and Stewart.
Greg Biffle landed himself in fourth place on the day while Matt Kenseth didn’t lead a lap, but did finish fifth.
Pre-event favorites Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin finished out of the top five as Busch took ninth and Hamlin finished 19th.
