Talladega brings out the fasters speeds and most competitive racing and series leader Jimmie Johnson is favored to win the race.

Johnson is a 6/1 favorite to win the race according to odds makers at the online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (8/1), Tony Stewart (8/1), and Jeff Gordon (8/1).

Johnson is currently 108 points ahead of Matt Kenseth in the standings. He has three wins this season and finishing inside the top 10 in six of his last seven races. Johnson won this event in 2006 and was second in 2007. He has just the one career win on this track with an average finish of 17^th and a driver rating of 82.7.

Kyle Busch won this event in 2008, but has finished 25^th or worse in three of his last four Aaron’s 499s. Busch has an average finish of 24.6 at this track with a driver rating of 76.4 He is currently sixth in the Sprint Cup standings, 228 points behind Johnson.
