2010 NASCAR Odds: Daytona 500 – Tony Stewart Favored by Oddsmakers

The lineup is complete for the 2010 Daytona 500 on Sunday, as Kasey Kahne and Jimmie Johnson won their respective Gatorade Duels.

With the field set, Tony Stewart is still favored to win the event.

Stewart is a 7/1 favorite to win the race according to odds makers at the online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (8/1), Johnson (10/1), and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (10/1)

Stewart has not won the Daytona 500 but he has three wins in 22 career starts on this track. He also has finished in the top five seven times at Daytona in his career. Stewart will start seventh in Sunday’s race after placing third his duel race.

Kyle Busch has raced 10 times in Daytona, winning one event, but not the Daytona 500. He has finished in the top five four times in his 10 races. Busch will start seventh for the Daytona 500 after placing fourth in his duel on Thursday.

Johnson is the four-time defending Sprint Cup champion. He is the 2006 winner of this event and in 16 career starts on this track, he has six top-five’s and nine top-10’s. Johnson will start third after winning his race on Thursday.

Earnhardt Jr. won the 2004 Daytona 500 and he has raced on the track 20 times. He has won twice on the track in his career and has six top-five finishes. He finished 21^st in his duel race on Thursday, but will start second after taking the runner-up spot in qualifying last Saturday.
