Kahne Wins Pole For Ford 400
Kasey Kahne won his fourth pole of the season on Friday and we start in the top position for the season-ending Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com currently list Kahne at +3000 on the money line to win the 2010 Ford 400. When the odds opened, he was +4000 to win.
b, who leads Jimmie Johnson by 15 points in the standings, was the favorite to win the Ford 400 at the start of the week. But now Johnson and Carl Edwards are the favorites at +350.
Hamlin has one win in his career at Homestead, along with three top 5’s. He has an average finish of 10.6 on the track and a driver rating of 94.7. On the year, Hamlin has won eight races.
Johnson, who has won the Homestead-Miami pole twice (2007, 2009), has not won this event or at this track in his career. He has three top 5’s and six top 10’s at Homestead with an average finish of 12.7 and a driver rating of 92.9. On the season, Johnson has six wins and 16 top 5’s.
Kevin Harvick also hasn’t won at Miami, but he has four top 5’s and seven top 10’s. His average finish at the track is 8.4 and his driver rating is 101.1. This season, Harvick has three wins and 15 top 5’s.
Current NASCAR future odds have Johnson listed at 7/5 to win the Sprint Cup Championship, while Harvick is 9/1 and Hamlin is 5/8.
