Kevin Harvick 2011 Wins
(TheSpread) – Kevin Harvick made a run at the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Title despite just a few wins last season. How many wins can Harvick rack up in 2011?
Oddsmakers at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have given Harvick over/under odds of 3.5 wins for the 2011 season. Harvick must race in 33 events in order for the wager to be official.
Harvick finished third in the 2010 final standings, 41 points out of first. He had three wins on the year, but led the series with 26 top-10’s.
Harvick has been racing full time in the Sprint Cup Series for 10 seasons now and he has just 14 wins in that span. His three wins last year ended a two-year winless streak and he has only had four wins in one season in his career (2006).
An average finish of 8.7 was big for Harvick last season, but his average start the last two seasons has been over 20. Harvick makes it difficult for himself to get wins when he begins so far in back of the pack.
These odds are interesting given Harvick has only went over that total just once in his career. Harvick isn’t known for gobbling up wins, but perhaps a new sponsor in Budweiser has given his career a shot in the arm.
