FORT WORTH, TX (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The AAA Texas 500 is the next race up in the Sprint Cup series. Here is a look at some drivers to consider for today’s race.

View Current NASCAR Odds

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kevin Harvick is the slight favorite to win, as he has 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson, who each have 6/1 odds.

Here are some drivers we like today:

Kevin Harvick 9/2

Harvick is starting fifth today and he comes into this race needing a win to lock up a spot in the final four of the Chase. Harvick has an average finish of 13.6 at this track and his driver rating is 83.3, but he had shown strong times in practice and is a three-time winner in 2014. With a lot at stake for him today, look for Harvick to press for a win.

Jeff Gordon 6/1

Gordon is in a good spot, leading the current points standings, but a win would take cure of the stress of needing a strong showing next week. Gordon is a former winner at Texas and he has a driver rating of 92.3 at this track. He qualified in second position and has been up front in most races in 2014. Look for him to contend for his fifth win of the season.

Greg Biffle 25/1

Biffle is starting 19th today. He comes into this race looking to earn his first win of 2014. If it is going to happen, Texas is the place. Biffle is a two-time winner at this track with an average finish of 14.7 and a driver rating of 102.2. That driver rating ranks third amongst any driver competing today. Look for Biffle to have another strong showing in Texas today.
