Irwin Tools Night Race Picks

BRISTOL, TN (ATSConsultants) – The Irwin Tools Night Race takes place under the lights tonight from Bristol and we have some picks to consider for this one.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth are the co-favorites, as each has 6/1 odds to win. Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano each have 7/1 odds. The Irwin Tools Night Race takes place tonight at 7:43PM ET from Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN.

Matt Kenseth has been on a nice run and is a favorite today for good reason. He comes to a track where he has four victories and an average finish of 11.3. His driver rating of 104.6 at Bristol is best of anyone in the field. Though he only qualified 13th, look for him to be right in the mix today.

Jimmie Johnson has been in a bit of a funk as of late, but he still has four wins in 2015 and could get his fifth tonight with 10/1 odds. Johnson starts 10th today and he is a one-time winner at Bristol with an average finish of 15.1 and a driver rating of 92.3. Given last week’s struggles, you know Johnson will bounce back tonight and be in the mix to win.

Kasey Kahne has 30/1 odds tonight, which is surprising considering he has won here before. His average finish at Bristol is 17.4 while his driver rating is 88.1, which ranks 11th in the field. Kahne needs, not only a strong run, but a victory tonight to get himself into the Chase and with just three races left, the time is now for him to do something big. With the long odds, his desperation and his history of success at Bristol, Kahne is a nice play tonight.
