Pure Michigan 400 Free Picks

WATKINS GLEN, NY (ATSConsultants) – The Pure Michigan 400 is set to take place later this afternoon. Here is a look at some drivers we think can contend for the win today.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kevin Harvick is a +375 favorite to win this race, while Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth each have +600 odds to win. The Pure Michigan 400 takes place today at 2:46PM ET from Michigan International Speedway.

Kurt Busch hasn’t been as strong as Kyle lately but that could change today. He has +1200 odds to win the Pure Michigan 400 and he is coming to a track where he is a three-time winner. Busch has finished in the top 10 in eight of his last nine races, including one win, so he is on a real strong run that should continue at one of his best tracks.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has +1400 odds to win today but we think he can come out with a win. Junior will start from the ninth position and he is a two-time winner at MIS with an average finish of 12.1. His driver rating at this track is 98.9, which ranks fifth in today’s field. Look for him to be a strong car on this fast and open track.

Paul Menard is a real long shot with +7500 odds today and he has some work to do, qualifying 27th for this race, but Michigan has been a good track for him. He has finished fourth in three of the last four races at MIS and he has been a consistent driver throughout the year. Currently 11th in total points, Menard isn’t taking himself out of any races, which makes him a good dark horse bet today. MIS could be where he picks up an upset win.
