AAA 400 Drive for Autism Picks
The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series continues its 2018 season today with the AAA 400 Drive for Autism. Here are some drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch is the favorite to win, as he has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Kevin Harvick (9/2), Kyle Larson (11/2) and Martin Truex Jr. (11/2). The AAA 400 Drive for Autism takes place on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 2PM ET from Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware. It will air live on FS1.
90013 Kyle Busch 3/1
Busch is having a tremendous season and now heads to Dover, a track he has won three times at in his career. He has the third-best driver rating at this track of 105.8. His average finish here is also 14.231. Busch has three wins this year with three runner-up finishes. I think he is likely to be the man to beat again today.
90029 Jimmie Johnson 15/2
Johnson has won an impressive 11 times at Dover in his career and he has 23 top-10 finishes out of 32 appearances at this track. His average finish is 9.1, while his driver rating is 118.0, which is by far the best of any driver in today’s field. Johnson is not having a great start to his year, but if he is going to get on track, Dover is likely where it will happen.
90005 Chase Elliott 8/1
Elliott has never won at Dover, but he has four top-5 finishes there in his short career. He has an average finish of 3.25 at Dover, while his driver rating there is 107.6. That driver rating is second-best in today’s field. Elliott has three top-5 finishes this year and has finished third or better in his last two races. I think he continues to build on his last two races and makes a push for his first Cup Series victory.
