Keselowski wins Auto Club 400
FONTANA, CA (TheSpread) – Brad Keselowski didn’t look to be in any shape to win the Auto Club 400 on Sunday, but he did with a little bit of luck.
Kurt Busch and Kevin Harvick were battling for the win when a late caution set up not one, but two, green-white-checkered finishes. On the second, Keselowski got to the front and held off the other two to pick up his first win of the year and keep Harvick from winning three straight races. Harvick came in second while Busch came in a disappointing third.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Keselowski came into the week with 15/2 odds to win this race, which means a wager of $100 on him to prevail will pay out an additional $750.
The win pushes Keselowski into fifth in the current standings, but the win nearly assures him a spot in the Chase for the Championship at the end of the season, as anyone with a win is elevated into the Chase and it’s unlikely there will be more than 16 different winners on the season. Harvick still holds the points lead by 28 on the field.
