Carl Edwards wins pole for Jeff Kyle 400, Kevin Harvick still favored

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – Carl Edwards claimed another pole today, as he was fastest in qualifying for the Jeff Kyle 400. Here’s an updated look at the odds to win.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kevin Harvick is still favored, but now has 7/2 odds to win while Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch each have 7/1 odds. Edwards now has 12/1 odds to win. The Jeff Kyle 400 takes place on Sunday at 3:49PM ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Harvick is the points leader by 69 on the field. He has two wins and 13 top 5s this year. Harvick has one win in 14 tries at Indy. His average finish at the track is 10.7, while his driver rating is 92.7. He qualified sixth for Sunday’s race.

Busch has three wins on the year, all coming in the last four races. He missed some time with an injury, but is making a push for the Chase. He has an average finish at Indy of 10.6, while his driver rating is 98.5, which ranks fifth in the field. Busch will start ninth on Sunday.

Johnson is fourth in the point standings this year. He is 88 points behind Johnson but has a series-best four wins in 2015. Johnson is a four-time winner at Indy. His average finish there is 15.5 and his driver rating is 108.1, which is tops for any driver in the field. Johnson is starting 12th on Sunday.
