Food City 500 Predictions
The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series is set to wave the green flag on the Food City 500 on Sunday. Here’s some drivers that we think should contend for the victory in this race.
According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Kyle Busch is the favorite in this race, as he is getting 3/1 odds to win. Other short odds to prevail are Kevin Harvick (9/2), Kyle Larson (6/1) and Martin Truex Jr. (13/2). The Food City 500 takes place on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2PM ET from Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee and will air live on FOX.
96013 Kyle Busch 3/1
Kyle Busch has had a lot of success at Bristol. He is a three-time winner of this race and a six-time winner at this track. His average finish at Bristol is 14.56. Busch’s driver rating at this track is 100.7, which ranks second-best in today’s field. He is currently on a nice run right now, finishing in the top 3 in five straight races. He is coming off his first win of 2018 last week and I can definitely see another one at a track that has been very good to him.
96003 Kevin Harvick 4/1
Harvick is also a former winner at Bristol. He won this very race back in 2005 and he has two wins to his credit at this track. Over 34 races at this track in his career, Harvick has an average finish of 13.4 and a driver rating of 96.4. His driver rating ranks third in today’s field. Harvick comes into today’s race with three wins on the year already and he finished second last week at Texas. Look for another strong run today.
96025 Kurt Busch 20/1
A guy with some longer odds to consider is Kurt Busch. He has been a five-time winner at Bristol in his career and has an average finish of 14.9 at the track. His driver rating of 91.1 there ranks eighth in the field. Busch is off to a somewhat slow start in 2018. He has three top-10 finishes, but has yet to crack the top 5. However, this is a track that he can legitimately win at. There aren’t many of those left for Busch. Look for him to put more in today’s race as he knows a track like this is one of his better chances to make the postseason.
