Jamie McMurray 2011 Wins
(TheSpread) – Jamie McMurray had a breakout year in 2010 with some big wins, but will he be able to repeat that in 2011?
Oddsmakers at online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have given McMurray over/under odds of 2.5 wins for 2011. In order for the wager to be official, McMurray must race in 33 races this season.
McMurray failed to reach the chase for the championship last season, as he finished 14th on the season, but had three wins, including the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400.
McMurray doubled up his career wins last year, and he has been a full-time driver for eight seasons. It is a lot to ask of a guy to get three wins in a single year when that is the most he has ever had in eight years of driving.
However, McMurray seems to be fitting in well with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing and many feel he is a contender to make the Chase this season. The buzz says over this year, but the stats say under. Your gut may have to be the tiebreaker in this case.
