Gibbs Racing making changes
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The addition of Carl Edwards to Joe Gibbs Racing won’t come without big changes for the 2015 NASCAR Season.
Gibbs Racing has elected to change the crew chiefs for three of the four teams, with Darian Grubb moving from Denny Hamlin to Edwards, Dave Rogers moving from Kyle Busch to Hamlin and Adam Stevens now taking over Busch’s team. The only Gibbs driver to not be changed is Matt Kenseth.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kenseth is the Gibbs driver with the best odds to win the 2015 Sprint Cup Championship, as he has 10/1 odds. Edwards has been given 12/1 odds, as has Busch. Hamlin has 14/1 odds to win it all.
Hamlin is coming off a third-place finish in this year’s Sprint Cup Chase, yet he seems to be taking a backseat to the likes of Kenseth and Edwards in Joe Gibbs Racing. Kenseth finished seventh this past year while Edwards was ninth and Kyle Busch was 10th.
