According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Kevin Harvick enters the season as the favorite, as he is getting 5/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano and Kyle Busch, who each have 7/1 odds to win. The season begins on Feb. 21 with the running of the Daytona 500.

Harvick has performed the best of anyone in the two years of the new Chase format. He won the first championship in 2014 and came in second this past season to Busch.

Johnson hasn’t had much success in this new championship format. He failed to crack the top 8 this past season and last season. He has won six championships in his career.

Logano finished in the top 8 this past season of the Chase despite having the most wins in 2015. He came in fourth place a year ago and is looking to claim his first-ever championship.

Busch claimed his first championship this year despite suffering an injury that caused him to miss a number of races.
