Busch vs. Kahne Win Totals
(TheSpread) – Both Kasey Kahne and Kurt Busch both have new looks and new numbers for the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, but which new look will lead to more wins?
Busch makes the move from the No. 2 car to the No. 22 while Kahne has jumped to Red Bull racing and will driver the No. 4 car after driving the No. 9 last season. Both guys have been steady drivers, but not been consistent winners.
Oddsmakers at online sportsbook Sportsbook.com feel that Busch is more likely to win more races this season as he has odds of -140 while Kahne has odds of -110.
Busch has won 22 races in his career over 10 full seasons and has 80 top-5’s and 153 top 10’s. Busch has not won more than two races in the last five years. His peak came in 2002 and 2003, when he won four races in both years.
Kahne has won 11 times in seven full seasons of competition. He also has 49 top 5’s and 87 top 10’s. Kahne went winless in 2010 and had two in 2009 and 2008. His peak year came in 2006, when he won six times in the year.
When looking at this matchup it appears Busch will at least have the opportunity to win more races as he tends to be in contention more. Busch already won the 2011 Budweiser Shootout, which puts him off to a good start in 2011.
