Kurt Busch wins pole in Texas
FORT WORTH, TX (TheSpread) – Kurt Busch improved his odds to win the NASCAR Duck Commander 500 on Saturday night as he won the pole for the race on Friday.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kevin Harvick is still the favorite to win this race, as he has 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Jimmie Johnson (5/1) and Busch (6/1). The Duck Commander 500 will take place from Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday at 7:46PM ET.
Harvick is the points leader by 24 on the field. He has two wins and five top 5s in six races this year. Harvick has yet to win in his career at Texas. His average finish at the track is 13.1, while his driver rating there is 85.1. He will start second for today’s race.
Johnson is 11th in the point standings, 95 points behind Harvick. He has one win and two top 5s this year. Johnson is a four-time winner at Texas Motor Speedway. His average finish is 9.1 at the track and his driver rating is 105.7, which ranks second in the series. Johnson is starting in the fifth position.
Busch is 25th in the standings, 150 points out of first place. He has two top 5s this year in just three races. Busch has one win at Texas with an average finish of 16.0 and a driver rating of 87.4, which ranks 12th amongst the field.
