Kenseth wins pole for Coca-Cola 600
CONCORD, NC (TheSpread) – Qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600 was held on Thursday night and Matt Kenseth earned the pole. Here is an updated look at the odds to win this race.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Kenseth now has 8/1 odds to win this race, joining Kurt Busch. Kevin Harvick is favored to win with 3/1 odds while Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano each have 7/1 odds. The Coca-Cola 600 will take place this Sunday at 6:16PM ET from Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Harvick is the current points leader by 46 on the field. He has two wins and eight top 5s this year. Harvick is a three-time winner at this track and he has an average finish of 15.8 with a driver rating of 84.7 at Charlotte. Harvick qualified eighth for this race.
Johnson qualified 13th for this race. Johnson is third in the standings, 48 points out of first. Johnson has three wins and seven top 5s this year. Johnson is a seven-time winner at Charlotte with an average finish of 11.4 and a driver rating of 111.6, which is by far best in the field.
Keselowski is sixth in the standings, 94 points out of first. He has one win and three top 5s this season. Keselowski has one win at Charlotte to go with an average finish of 15.7 there. His driver rating at this track is 86.5. Keselowski will start sixth on Sunday night.
Logano is fourth in the standings, 62 points out of first. He has one win and six top 5s in 2015. Logano has never won in Charlotte. His average finish is 10.0 while his driver rating is 88.4. Logano qualified second for Sunday night’s race.
