NASCAR All-Star Open Race Betting Prediction
OPTION 1: Kyle Larson (+900)
Larson posted a best speed of 109.144 mph in Friday’s practice to lead all drivers and also won the Truck Series race on Saturday afternoon, so he should be in the mix today. His knowledge of the track from eSports has served him well at Hendrick Motorsports.
OPTION 2: Tyler Reddick (+2000)
While Larson posted the best speed in Friday’s practice, Reddick produced the fastest 15-lap average overall. This is a week after Reddick and the No. 45 Cup team was docked 10 points each for an infraction found in pre-qualifying inspection last weekend at Darlington Raceway. NASCAR penalized the team for a violation with ballast. The rule that was broken states that “any and all ballast added to the vehicle must be secured inside a ballast container(s).” The 10-point penalty dropped Reddick from eighth to 10th in the driver standings, which probably means he’s pissed. And I like to back drivers who are pissed.
OPTION 3: Ryan Blaney (+2000)
Blaney hasn’t recored a regular-season victory since August 2021 at Daytona but the pressure is off in this All-Star race and he won the $1 million grand prize in this event last year so why not? He finished 0.266 seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin in overtime to win this exhibition race last year at Texas Motor Speedway and given his odds, he’s worth a flier.
