Busch is the favorite for good reason. He is a two-time winner of this event and a three-time winner in California. His driver rating at the track is 109.6, while his average finish there is 10.4 over 20 races. Busch has been rolling this season. He is coming off a win last weekend and has finished in the top 3 in three of the four races this year. I like Busch to continue his strong season today.

Truex Jr. is the defending champion of this race and comes into the weekend with some pretty solid odds. While his driver rating at California is just 85.3, he has placed in the top 4 of this race the last two years. Truex is performance well thus far in 2019, as he has finished runner-up in two of the four races. I think today could be the day that he secures his first win of the season.

Elliott has been pretty steady at California over his short career. In three races at the track, Elliott has an average finish of 10.7 and his driver rating there is 95.2. Elliott has been okay so far this year, finishing inside the top 20 in all four races. Elliott could use something to really spark his season. With 25/1 odds, there is a lot of value in betting on him today, as this is one of his better tracks in terms of performance consistency.
