Bank of America Royal 400 Predictions
The final race of the opening stage of the NASCAR playoffs concludes today with the running of the Bank of America Royal 400. Here’s the drivers we like to contend for the win today.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Martin Truex Jr. is the favorite to claim the victory, as he has 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (5/1), Chase Elliott (7/1), Brad Keselowski (8/1), Denny Hamlin (8/1) and Kyle Larson (8/1). The Bank of America Royal 400 is set to take place today at 2:30PM ET from Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Road Course in Concord, NC.
52109 Ryan Blaney 18/1
Blaney won this race last year, the first year of its existence, and he comes into today’s race in 10th place, only leading Alex Bowman by eight points for a spot into Stage 2. Blaney needs a strong showing today and he should have plenty of confidence coming into the race. He has placed in the top 5 in the other two road course races this year. Blaney seems to bring out his best on these types of tracks, so his 18/1 odds provides great value.
52107 Kevin Harvick 14/1
Harvick doesn’t have anything to sweat today, but I like his odds at 14/1. He put up a ninth-place finish in this race a year ago and he has always been a drive that is competitive on road races. He was seventh at Watkins Glen and sixth at Sonoma this year. Harvick has finished in the top 10 of his last five road races and I don’t see why he can’t do it today. He seems to be getting overlooked in this race and that can turn out to be a good thing for you.
52111 Clint Bowyer 22/1
Bowyer is more desperate than Blaney today, as he sits in 14th place in the standings right now, 4 points out of 12th. Bowyer needs a win, or a strong run to get himself into the second stage of the postseason. This is a good track for Bowyer, as he finished third in last year’s inaugural race. He also has been someone that typically runs well at road courses. He has finished 11th or better in the last three races at Sonoma and was fifth at Watkins Glen in 2017. Given his talent on these types of tracks, and his all-or-nothing attitude he should have today, Bowyer has great value at 22/1.
