NASCAR Cup Series Championship Predictions
OPTION 1: Ross Chastain (+500)
There are better values on the board, but you won’t find a hotter driver right now than Chastain. He’s currently in third when it comes to points and his last three races went as follows: 4th at Martinsville, 2nd at Homestead and 2nd at Las Vegas. While he’s never led at Phoenix in his career, he does have a second-place finish here. He’s going to be in the mix.
OPTION 2: Christopher Bell (+500)
If Chastain is the hottest driver entering the field on Sunday, Bell has to be the grittiest. He scored wins in two elimination races this postseason, which includes last weekend at Martinsville. Currently in second when it comes to the points race, Bell enters Sunday having won at Martinsville, finishing seventh at Homestead and fifth at Las Vegas.
OPTION 3: Kyle Larson
Larson was eliminated from title contention in the Round of 12 but he’s the defending Cup champion, he has one career win at Phoenix and his last three races were positive outside of a 35th-place finish at Las Vegas. (His other two starts were a second-place finish at Martinsville and a win at Homestead.) Don’t count out Larson when it comes to finishing the NASCAR season on a high note.
