Daytona 500 Predictions
It’s time for NASCAR’s biggest race, and also its first race of the 2019 season, the Daytona 500. Here are the drivers we like to contend for the victory today.
According to the latest oddsmakers, both Brad Keselowski is the favorite to win, as he has 7/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick, who each have 8/1 odds, while Clint Bowyer is listed with 9/1 odds. The Daytona 500 is set to take place today at 2:30PM ET from Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The race will air live on FOX.
52000 Kevin Harvick 8/1
Harvick is one of the favorites to win and has been one of the most consistent drivers in the series over the last handful of years. You can expect this veteran driver and his team to be ready to go to open a new season. There shouldn’t be any surprises or feeling out on pit road, which gives him a nice advantage today. Harvick is a former winner of this race and a two-time winner at Daytona in his career. Like always on a fast track, if he can avoid getting caught in a wreck, Harvick should be a top contender for the win.
52007 Kyle Busch 12/1
Busch has never won the Daytona 500 and he is too good of a driver to never get that victory. Busch has been one of NASCAR’s best for quite a while and getting this victory is the last thing for him to check off. Busch does own a win at Daytona in his career, but just not the 500. His driver rating here is 90.6, which is best in the field. Busch won’t have 12/1 odds often and he has plenty of motivation to get the job done today.
52009 Kurt Busch 22/1
If you are looking for a really big payday, Kurt Busch may be your best option. The 2017 winner of this race has long odds today, but he has been a pretty good driver at Daytona when you break down the numbers. His average finish of 16.9 at the track is fourth-best in today’s field and his driver rating of 88.5 is second only to his brother. Daytona is a track that requires a lot of luck, but the Busch brothers know how to drive fast and move up the field. If he keeps his car clean, Kurt Busch should definitely be a factor in this race.
