Drydene 400 Predictions
The second stage of the 2019 NASCAR postseason gets underway today with the Drydene 400. Here’s three drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch are co-favorites to win, as each has 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Kevin Harvick and Kyle Larson, who each have 11/2 odds. The Drydene 400 is set to take place today at 2:30PM ET from Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware.
Kyle Busch 4/1
Busch has great numbers at Dover, winning three times over his career with an average finish of 14.6. His driver rating at the track is 104.6. Busch is coming off a rough outing last week and he has finished outside the top 10 in three of his last four races. Busch needs something to spark him in the postseason and I think it can come today at a track he is comfortable at. Busch is a competitor and there is no way he won’t be a factor in this postseason.
Martin Truex Jr. 4/1
Truex had a great start to his postseason and now he comes to one of his better tracks. He picked up the win at Dover in the spring and he has won at this track three times in his career. His average finish at this track is 12.6, while his driver rating there is 99.0. Truex Jr. picked up two wins over the first stage of the postseason. That should give him a lot of confidence to contend for his second championship. I think he has another great race this afternoon.
Brad Keselowski 10/1
Keselowski has been knocking on the door of a victory for weeks. He has finished in the top 5 in five of his last six races. He has to be itching for his fourth win of the season and a pass into the third stage of the postseason. Keselowski is a former winner at Dover and has an average finish of 13.2 and a driver rating of 92.9 at the track. Keselowski has good value today, as he should be a top contender, has good numbers at the track, and can offer a sizable payout with a win.
