Jimmie Johnson is entering another track where he has a lot of great history. He has won six times at Texas and is the defending champion of this very race. His average finish of 8.4 and driver rating of 108.0 is the best of any driver at this track. He starts 11th tonight and we like him with 6/1 odds.
Carl Edwards is on the pole tonight and he has 8/1 odds to win. Edwards is a three-time winner at Texas with a driver rating of 96.4 at the track. Edwards is in need of a win to lock up a Chase spot, so look for him to be aggressive at a track he is comfortable at.
Matt Kenseth has 10/1 odds today from the ninth position. He has great numbers at Texas as well, as he has two victories to his credit and a 104.7 driver rating, which ranks second only to Johnson. Kenseth is having a rough start to 2016, so he needs a good showing today to get back on track. What better way to do that than to win.
