Sprint Showdown Free Picks

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers not in the All-Star Race on Saturday race for a pair of spots tonight in the Sprint Showdown. Here are some drivers we like to contend tonight.

This year’s race showdown features a pair of 20-lap races with each winner advancing to the All-Star Race. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Chase Elliott is the favorite in these races, as he has +260 odds to win while Austin Dillon and Kyle Larson each have +450 odds. The Sprint Showdown takes place on Friday at 7:31PM ET from Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC.

Bet on Sprint Showdown

Chase Elliott seems to have the best odds for a reason, as he has had a pretty solid rookie season in Sprint Cup racing. Though he has yet to win, he has eight top-10 finishes. He also has some experience at Charlotte, racing in last year’s 600-mile race. He also has been a strong qualifier, winning the pole in two races. That should help in this quick sprint format.

Kyle Larson is someone that seems to be on the verge of something big, he just needs that breakthrough performance. He has three top-10 finishes in 2016 and a pair of top-10 starts. Larson hasn’t had the 2016 some expected, so look for him to be aggressive in this field to try and pick up some momentum.

A.J. Allmendinger has +1600 odds for tonight. Those long odds could pay off nicely, as he is a veteran driver in a field without a lot of star power. He has finished in the top 5 at Charlotte in a loaded field before and has four top-10 qualifying runs this year.
