Gander Outdoors 400 Predictions
The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series waves the green flag for the Gander Outdoors 400 later this afternoon. Here’s some drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kevin Harvick is favored to win this race, as he has 5/2 odds. Other short odds to prevail are Kyle Busch (3/1), Martin Truex Jr. (4/1) and Kyle Larson (7/1). The Gander Outdoors 400 takes place today at 2PM ET from Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware. It airs live on the NBC Sports Network.
52013 Kyle Busch 3/1
Busch seems to be sizing himself up for another season championship. He is the current points leader and tied for the most wins in 2018. Busch heads to Dover, where he has three wins throughout his career. He has the top driver rating at Dover of anyone still in the Chase at 105.5. Busch should have another strong run today and push for the win, locking up his spot in the final eight.
52001 Brad Keselowski 10/1
Keslowski was the hottest driver in the series until a poor showing last week, but now he returns to regular oval driving and that should help him bounce back. He is a former winner at Dover with an average finish of 13.2 at the track and a driver rating of 91.6. Given how well Kes has been driving over the last month or so, I think there is tremendous value for him today at 10/1.
52005 Chase Elliott 12/1
Elliott is a driver in need of a good run today, as he starts the second stage in ninth, five points out of the top 8. Dover has been a pretty solid track for Elliott. Though he hasn’t won, he has an average finish of 5.0 over five races and a driver rating of 104.4. That driver rating ranks second only to Busch in terms of the playoff field. With 12/1 odds, Elliott could provide a nice payday and there are reasons to see why it could happen.
