Go Bowling at The Glen Predictions
The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series concludes its road racing in 2018 today with the Go Bowling at The Glen. Here are the drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch is favored to win this week, as he has 3/1 odds to win. Other short odds to prevail are Martin Truex Jr. (7/2), Kevin Harvick (4/1) and Brad Keselowski (7/1). The Go Bowling at The Glen takes place today at 3PM ET from Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, NY. The race will air live on NBC.
52012 Kyle Busch 3/1
Busch has been able to win this race a few times in his career and he has great numbers at Watkins Glen. He has an average finish of 9.8 at the track over a total of 13 races. His 110.7 driver rating there also ranks second in today’s field. Busch has picked up six wins on the year and is driving as well as anyone. With the series at a road course, he should certainly be in the mix.
52001 Brad Keselowski 7/1
Keselowski has not managed a win at Watkins Glen over eight attempts, but he still has a 10.8 average finish and a 102.8 driver rating at the track. He needs a win badly as he is winless this year and has finished outside the top 30 in three of the last four races. Keselowski needs to get some momentum going with the playoffs about to start. I think he has to start taking some chances and that can lead to wins.
52027 AJ Allmendinger 20/1
AJ Allmendinger knows that road courses are his opportunity to get wins and Watkins Glen is his best track in the entire series. He won this race back in 2014 and has finished in the top 10 three others times in the last five years. His average finish at Watkins Glen is 9.333 while his driver rating there is 97.1. That driver rating puts him fourth in the field. Given his long odds, I think that is great value.
