NASCAR Monster Energy Series Predictions: AAA 400 6/4/17

AAA 400 Picks

The AAA 400 waves the green flag this afternoon. Here is a look at the drivers we expect to contend for the win in today’s NASCAR race.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Larson are favored to win, as each has 4/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Martin Truex Jr. (9/2) and Kyle Busch (11/2). The AAA 400 is set to take place today at 1PM ET from Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware.

Bet on the AAA 400

Kyle Busch was pretty frustrated by finishing second last weekend. I think that leads to a good running later today. He has won twice in his career at Dover with an average finish of 14.708 and a driver rating of 105.4. Busch has finished in the top 5 in three straight races, so he is building toward that first win of the season. I think it will come today.

Matt Kenseth is listed with 12/1 odds to win today’s race. I think that is good value for the defending champion of the race. Kenseth has won three times at Dover in his career. His average finish there is 11.583, while his driver rating is 108.6. Kenseth is coming off a fourth-place finish at Charlotte. This year hasn’t been his best, but I think he’s still capable of wins, especially here. Look for him to make a run at the checkered flag today.

Dover is one of the tracks that Joey Logano has yet to win at. He is listed with 20/1 odds today and I think that is a great value for a driver of his abilities. He still has an average finish of 13.438 at the track and a driver rating of 86.5. Logano has been in a funk recent weeks. Those haven’t lasted long for Logano and I expect a big bounce back today. He hasn’t finished outside the top 10 in four straight races since 2013. It won’t happen today either.
