Food City 500 Predictions
The Food City 500 will wave the green flag later this afternoon. Which drivers should contend for the win?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Brad Keselowski is favored to win this race, as he has 11/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch, who each have 6/1 odds. The Food City 500 takes place today at 2PM ET from Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.
Kyle Busch is a three-time winner of this event and a five-time winner at Bristol. Busch has yet to grab a win, so I like him to make another strong push today at one of his best tracks. He has a driver rating of 100.5 at Bristol, which is second to only one other driver in the field.
Matt Kenseth is that other driver. Kenseth has 17/2 odds to win today’s race and that is a good number for him at this track. Kenseth is the 2015 champion of this race and a four-time winner at Bristol. His average finish here is 14.708 and his driver rating is 100.9. Kenseth really needs a good showing, as he has one top-5 finish this season. I like Kenseth to have a strong day today.
Kurt Busch is listed with 20/1 odds today, but I like those a lot for him as well. He is a four-time winner of this race and a five-time winner at Bristol overall. He comes to this track with an average finish of 14.8 over 32 races and a 93.1 driver rating. Busch already has a win this year, but he wants to really prove he can contend for the championship. To do that, he needs multiple wins, and this is a good place to get it.
