NASCAR All-Star Race Picks
The NASCAR All-Star Race will be held later tonight. Here are some drivers we think can come away with the win in this exhibition.
This race features a pair of 50-lap segments followed by a 13-lap race to the finish. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Martin Truex Jr. is favored to win, as he has 6/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Kyle Larson (13/2), Kyle Busch (13/2) and Brad Keselowski (7/1). The NASCAR All-Star Race takes place Saturday at 8PM ET from Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina.
Jimmie Johnson has 15/2 odds to win this race tonight. He is a four-time winner of the All-Star race, last claiming the title in 2013. Johnson had a slow start to 2017, but he has since picked up a pair of wins. Charlotte has been a good track for him, as he has four race victories there in his career. His driver rating at the track of 96.5 is second-best of any driver in the field.
Kevin Harvick also has 15/2 odds for tonight’s event. He is a former winner of this exhibition as well, claiming the win in 2007. Harvick has finished in the top 5 in four of his last five races as he seeks his first win of the year. Harvick has been pretty good at Charlotte in his career. His average finish there is 9.500 and he has a top-5 driver rating of 85.7. Look for Harvick to be right in the mix tonight.
Jamie McMurray is a nice dark horse consideration once again tonight, as he has 25/1 odds to win. The 2014 champion of this event is having a really nice 2017 season thus far. He is fifth in the point standings and has finished in the top 10 in seven races this year. That included a runner-up finish at Talladega. This win could do a lot for McMurray, so he should be aggressive tonight.
