O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 Predictions

The O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 gets underway later today. Here is a look at the drivers we like to contend for the victory.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Joey Logano is favored to win the race with 13/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr., who each have 15/2 odds to win. The O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 takes place today at 1:30PM ET from Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.

Bet on the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500

Jimmie Johnson has to break out of this funk at some point, what better place than Texas. He was the 2015 winner of this race and a six-time winner at Texas in his career. His average finish there is 8.4 over 27 races while his driver rating is 107.1. Without a top-5 yet this year, Johnson has to be getting anxious for a breakout performance.

Kyle Busch has been getting close to a win in the last month, finishing second last week. I think he can make a big push today and possibly breakthrough. He has two wins at Texas in his career. His driver rating at the track is 102.4, while his average finish is 11.6. I like Busch to contend today.

Chase Elliott has 8/1 odds today and I like this young driver to possibly come away with the win. Elliott finished in the top 5 in his first two races at Texas and his driver rating there is 100.8. He has finished in the top five in three races this year and placed no worse than 14th so far. That means he should be in the mix today and can find his way to the front with some good pit strategy.
