Kahne staying with Hendrick
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Kasey Kahne will remain with Hendrick Motorsports for the next four seasons, agreeing to an extension with the team last week.
Kahne reached a three-year extension with Hendrick Motorsports to continue driving the No. 5 Chevrolet through the 2018 Sprint Cup season. Kahne was entering his final year under his previous contract, so the new deal takes a lot of pressure off the driver.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kahne comes into the 2015 Sprint Cup season with 25/1 odds to win the series championship. Jimmie Johnson is favored with 5/1 odds while Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick each have 6/1 odds.
Kahne has driven under the Hendrick Motorsports banner for the last three seasons. His best finish in the series standings was fourth, back in his first year with the team in 2012. He has since finished outside of the top 10 in his last two seasons.
