Built Tough 225 Odds
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series takes the race track on Saturday, July 18 for the Built Ford Tough 225 at Kentucky Speedway and current series leader, Ron Hornaday Jr. has opened as the pre-race favorite.
Hornaday Jr. opens the race as a 3/2 favorite to win the event, according to oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING. Other drivers receiving short odds for Saturday’s race are Mike Skinner (4/1), Todd Bodine (9/2), and Colin Braun (6/1).
Hornaday has won three of the 11 Truck series events this year, and holds a 76-point lead on the rest of the field. Hornaday has nine top 10 finishes and six top 5 finishes in 2009. Hornaday finished 10th in last year’s event, but is coming off back-to-back wins in the series.
Mike Skinner won the 2007 event at Kentucky Speedway and is third in the Truck series standings. Skinner has one win this season and nine top 10 finishes.
Bodine ranks fourth in the series standings and has a pair of wins in 2009. After a four-race stretch of finishing no better than 18th in the middle of the season, Bodine has since finished no worse than 13th in his last four outings, including his win in the Winstar World Casino 400 on June 5.
Braun ranks 10th in the series standings, but has finished in the top 9 in his last four races, including a win in the Michigan 200 on June 13.
