Coca Cola 600 Odds
Oddsmakers have made Jimmie Johnson the favorite to win this weekend’s 2009 Coca Cola 600 from Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Johnson, who is sponsored by Lowe’s and who has won at Lowe’s Motor Speedway five times is currently listed at 5/1 odds to win the 2009 Coca Cola 600 according to oddsmakers at online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. A winning wager on Johnson would pay $500 for every $100 bet.
In addition to Johnson’s five wins at Lowe’s, he also has eight top 5’s, 12 top 10’s and an average finish of 8.9 in 15 career starts.
Close behind Johnson is Kyle Busch at 5.5/1 odds to win the Coke 600. Despite being a favorite of oddsmakers, Busch has never won at Lowe’s and his stats are the least impressive of the favored drivers. In 10 career Sprint Cup starts at Charlotte, Busch has three top 5’s, four top 10’s and an average finish of 21.4.
Rounding out the top 5 favorites for NASCAR’s longest race of the year are four-time Charlotte winner Jeff Gordon at 8/1, while Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards are both listed at 9/1 odds to win the Coke 600.
The 2009 Coca Cola 600 takes place at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Sunday May 24 at 5PM Eastern. TV Coverage will be provided by Fox and Fox HD.
