Coke Zero 400 Odds
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series shifts to Daytona International Speedway and the Coke Zero 400 this Saturday, July 4.
Kyle Busch has opened as a 6/1 favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction. Jeff Gordon (8/1), Tony Stewart (8/1), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (12/1), Jimmie Johnson (12/1) and Kurt Busch (12/1) have the next best odds following Kyle Busch’s 6/1.
Kyle Busch won the Coke 400 in 2008, which makes him an easy choice to be favored at this year’s running. In 17 starts this season, Busch has three wins, four top-5 finishes and six top-10s. He’s also earned the pole position once.
At 8/1 to win, Stewart offers a ton of value seeing as how he won at the Daytona International Speedway in 2005 and 2006 when the race was called the Pepsi 400. Stewart is currently the leader of the official 2009 Sprint Cup Series Standings with 2,524 points. He has one win, nine top-5 finishes and 13 top-10s.
Gordon ranks second in the Sprint Cup standings, 69 points behind Stewart. In 17 starts this season, he has one win, nine top-5 finishes and 12 top-10s. Much like Stewart, Gordon has also had much success at this track, winning the Pepsi 400 in 1995, 1998 and most recently in 2004.
Earnhardt Jr. has struggled a bit this season, posting just one top-5 finish and three top-10 finishes in 17 starts thus far in 2009. But he did win the Pepsi 400 in 2001, making him relatively intriguing in terms of betting.
