Dollar General 300 Odds
The NASCAR Nationwide Series hits Lowe’s Motor Speedway Friday night for
the 2009 Dollar General 300.
Points
leader Kyle Busch is favored to win
this week’s event.
Busch is a
9/4 favorite to win the race according to oddsmakers at the online
sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. Other short odds to win are Joey Logano
(7/2), Tony Stewart (9/2),
and Carl Edwards
(9/2).
Busch won
both Nationwide races at Lowe’s Motor Speedway last year, including the 2008 Dollar General 300. Busch finished third in the 2009 Carquest Auto Parts 300, the other
Nationwide race to take place at Lowe’s. Busch currently leads the series by
155 points over Edwards, and has finished in the top four in four of his last
five races.
Logano is
14th in the standings. He has raced in 19th events this
year in the Nationwide series. Logano holds five wins on the season and has won
the last two Nationwide events he took part in and has won three of his last
five races. Logano finished fifth at Lowe’s earlier this year.
Stewart
has raced in two Nationwide Series races this year, winning one and finishing
second in the other.
Edwards
has four wins on the year and placed 10th at the prior race at
Lowe’s despite qualifying first. Edwards has finished in the top seven in his
last seven races and has finished in the top seven in 15 of his last 16 events.
The Dollar General 300 will take place
Friday, Oct. 16 from Lowe’s Motor
Speedway at 7:30PM
