Pennzoil 400 Predictions
The NASCAR Monster Energy Series continues today with the running of the Pennzoil 400 in Las Vegas. Here’s three drivers we like to contend.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick are co-favorites with 9/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Martin Truex Jr. (5/1) and Brad Keselowski (6/1). The 2020 Pennzoil 400 takes place on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 3:30PM ET from Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada.
51144 Brad Keselowski 6/1
Keselowski is a two-time winner of this race and a three-time winner at Las Vegas. I feel strong about him coming away with the win today. His numbers at Vegas stack up quite well. His average finish if 11.615, while his driver rating there is 95.5. Both of those rank sixth in today’s field. After a poor showing last weekend in Daytona, I like Keselowski to bounce back today.
51145 Joey Logano 8/1
Logano is the defending champion of this race and I feel good about his chances to repeat today. Logano has an average finish of 8.5 in Vegas over 13 tracks, while his driver rating there is 103.3. His average finish is best in the field and his driver rating ranks second in today’s crop. Logano has finished seventh or better in this race the last four years and in the top 10 the last six. That type of consistency is hard to ignore today.
51149 Ryan Blaney 20/1
If you are looking for someone with longer odds, I think Blaney is a good play today. He has been pretty solid at Vegas over his young career. He has seven races at Vegas and has five top-10 finishes. His driver rating at the track is 92.0, while his average finish is 9.9. Blaney has finished fifth in three of his last four races at Vegas. It definitely is one of his best tracks, so I think he deserves better than the 20/1 odds he is being given.
