Which drivers will contend for the victory in the Advanced Auto Parts Clash later today? Here’s our predictions for this race.
The Advanced Auto Parts Clash is a three-segment race of 30, 25 and 20 laps. Fans vote on different aspects of the race like pit stops and eliminations. The winner is the first driver to finish the final segment. Eligible drivers for the race are 2017 pole winners, former event winners and the 2017 Chase qualifiers. According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Brad Keselowski is the favorite today, as he has 11/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (7/1), Denny Hamlin (15/2) and Chase Elliott (9/1).
Bet on Advanced Auto Parts Clash Odds
Denny Hamlin is a three-time winner of this event and I think he can make it a fourth win today. Fast tracks are always pretty good for Hamlin and Daytona has been a solid place for him. He has finished in the top 5 in three of the last four Daytona 500s. I look for Hamlin to be the man to beat today.
Kevin Harvick has 10/1 odds to win today and he also has been great in this event. Harvick is a three-time winner of this event as well, last winning in 2013. He also was fifth in last year’s event. Harvick is a driver that is always in the mix for wins and I like him with 10/1 odds.
Martin Truex Jr. is coming off a championship in 2017 and I think it will carry over today to a strong running today. Truex hasn’t been great at Daytona over the years, but he wasn’t great at a lot of tracks that he broke out from last year. Truex ended the year with five straight top-3 finishes and top-5 finishes in nine of his last 10 races.
