Rattlesnake 400 Predictions
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will get a busy racing weekend started tonight with the running of the Rattlesnake 400. Here’s our picks for the top drivers in today’s race.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Noah Gragson is favored to win the race, as he is listed with +200 odds to win. Other short odds to prevail are Johnny Sauter (+250), Brett Moffitt (+450) and Matt Crafton (+700). The Rattlesnake 400 takes place tonight at 9PM ET from Texas Motor Speedway in Forth Worth, Texas.
6451 Johnny Sauter +250
Sauter has been the best driver in this series this year and should be the favorite, in my opinion. He has three wins over seven races and has been in the top 5 in three others. He finished in the top 10 of this race the last six years, including a win in 2012. I think Sauter has another great run tonight.
6453 Matt Crafton +700
Crafton is a two-time winner of this event, last claiming the victory in 2015. He also finished second in 2016 and ninth in 2017. Crafton has been able to push toward the front at this track often and he could use a big boost tonight. Crafton is winless so far on the year and has just three top-10 runs. I expect him to step up tonight to try and spark his season.
6454 Ben Rhodes +900
Rhodes has been a pretty consistent driver this year. He hasn’t picked up a win, but has five top-8 finishes out of seven races and his worst run this year saw him place 18th. Last year, Rhodes put up a fifth-place finish at Texas and was right in the mix for a win. I think he can find himself near the front of the pack tonight and possibly steal a win with some luck or good strategy.
