NASCAR All-Star Race Predictions
Tonight marks the annual Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race. Here’s three drivers that we think can contend for the victory.
The last few years have seen this race broken up into two 50-lap segments and then a 13-green-flag-lap finish. According to the latest oddsmakers, Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch are co-favorites to win this race, as each is getting +420 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski (+800), Martin Truex Jr. (+800) and Kyle Larson (+800). The NASCAR All-Star Race takes place Saturday, May 19 at 8PM ET from Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The race will air live on FS1.
11009 Kyle Busch +550
Kyle Busch is the defending champion of this race and always someone that finds himself in the mix in this event. Through his career, he has an average finish of 10.6 in the All-Star and he has a driver rating of 103.7. That ranks second in today’s field. Busch has been locked in over the year and I expect him to once again be one of the top drivers tonight.
11013 Kyle Larson +800
Larson has yet to win this event, but he has averaged a finish of 9.0 over his career appearances in it. He also has the top driver rating in today’s field of 117.6. Larson isn’t having the greatest start to his 2018 season, but he still has four top-5 finishes. I think the All-Star Race is a great way for him to get on track.
11004 Matt Kenseth +3300
Kenseth doesn’t really drive much anymore, but this is an event that has been pretty good to him and a track that he has done very well at. Kenseth is a former All-Star winner with seven top-5 finishes and 12 top-10 finishes. His average finish in this competition is 7.647 and he has a driver rating of 81.5. He has some really long odds, but I think he has a lot of value and could provide a huge payout if he can work his way to the front. There is reason to believe he can.
