NASCAR Predictions: Who Will Win The Daytona 500? 2/18/18

NASCAR Predictions: Who Will Win The Daytona 500? 2/18/18 NASCAR Predictions: Who Will Win The Daytona 500? 2/18/18

Daytona 500 Predictions

Which driver will claim the biggest race in sports and win the Daytona 500 later today? Here’s our NASCAR Predictions for this annual classic.

According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Brad Keselowski is the current favorite to win with 7/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin, who each have 8/1 odds. The Daytona 500 takes place today at 2:30PM ET from Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The race airs live on FOX.

Bet on Can-Am Duel Odds

Kyle Busch has pretty much done it all in his NASCAR career, but he has yet to win the Daytona 500. With 11/1 odds today, I think Sunday may be Busch’s day to get this monkey off his back. Despite not winning this race, Busch has won at Daytona in his career and he finished third in the 2016 500. This race hasn’t been his best, but he knows his opportunities to win are getting smaller with each passing year. Busch has the skillset to win this race. If he can avoid the big wreck or a pit-stop mistake, he should be the winner today.

Kevin Harvick is a former Daytona 500 winner and a two-time winner at Daytona International Speedway. He comes into today’s race with 12/1 odds and I think that is great value for a driver with his skillset at a fast track. Harvick has a good starting position of sixth and he has finished in the top 5 in two of the last three years of this race. The former series champ is always a contender and I think he has great value with 12/1 odds today.

If you are looking for a longshot, I think Austin Dillon is worth consideration. Dillon comes into today with 30/1 odds to win. He has just one victory in his Monster Energy Series career, but it came in 2017 as he qualified for the Chase and had his best year as a driver. Dillon should be looking to build on that today at Daytona, a track where he has four top-10 finishes in his last eight races. He also is a former pole-sitter, so he can get around this track fast. We have seen Daytona 500s before that ended with surprise winners due to fuel issues or a big wreck. Dillon is a guy that could steal a win with a little luck today.
