Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Picks

According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, five drivers are all co-favored to win. Chase Elliott, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Larson are all listed with 11/2 odds. The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 takes place on today at 2PM ET from Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia and will air live on FOX.
Chase Elliott does have a brief history at Atlanta, but it has been a good one. In two races he has an average finish of 6.5 and his average running position is 7.093. Elliott has a 105.2 driver rating at Atlanta, which ranks second-best in today’s field. Coming off a poor Daytona 500, I expect Elliott to bounce back nicely this weekend. He should have plenty of confidence coming to one of his best tracks.
Brad Keselowski has 12/1 odds for today’s race. He is the defending champion of this event and won after placing 27th at Daytona the week prior. Keselowski was 32nds last weekend in the Daytona 500, who he should come out with a strong run today in order to make up for last week. Keselowski’s driver rating of 92.4 at Atlanta ranks seventh in today’s field.
Denny Hamlin is a former winner of this event, taking the crown in 2012. He comes into this race with 15/1 odds and I think he has great value. His driver rating at Atlanta is 93.9, which ranks fifth in the field. Hamlin is coming off a third-place finish last weekend and he is due for a good showing at Atlanta after having car troubles last year. Hamlin seems to be set for a big 2018 and I think he gets his first win today.
