STP 500 Predictions
After snow delayed the STP 500 on Sunday, the NASCAR race is scheduled to take place later today. Here’s some drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Kyle Busch is favored to win this race, as he has 7/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski (9/2), Martin Truex Jr. (5/1) and Denny Hamlin (6/1). The STP 500 takes place on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 2PM ET from Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia and will air live on FS1.
30001 Kyle Busch 7/2
Martinsville has been one of Busch’s better tracks. He is a two-time winner here and has an average finish of 13.1 and a driver rating of 102.6. He has 13 top-5 finishes at Martinsville out of 25 races. Busch has finished third or second in three straight races and his ability to navigate this track should make him one of the top drivers in today’s race as well.
30003 Denny Hamlin 6/1
Hamlin has been dominant at this track. He has five wins at Martinsville in his career along with 12 top-5 finishes. His average finish at the track is 10.0, while his driver rating there is 106.2. Hamlin has been pretty solid this year, finishing sixth or better in four of the five races. I would expect him to be near the front again today and probably be the winner based on his history at the track.
30006 Kevin Harvick 8/1
Kevin Harvick has been all-or-nothing this season. He has three victories and two finishes outside the top 30 in five races for 2018. His odds are a little longer than one would normally get for having three wins in five races, but I think that works out for you today. Harvick is a former winner at this track and his 93.7 driver rating actually ranks fifth in today’s field. While Martinsville may not be his top track, he is still pretty good here and definitely capable of winning today.
