Kyle Busch has actually never won this race, which is pretty surprising. However, that just makes it seem more likely he will win tonight. There are not many races that Busch gets into that he doesn’t win in this series. He had a surprising 21st-place finish last week against Atlanta. He has responded well to poor finishes, winning two of his last three when placing outside the top 20 in his previous outing. Busch should be the man to beat tonight.
Johnny Sauter is a nice play due to his hot start in 2018. Sauter won at Daytona and followed that up with a third-place finish in Atlanta last week. Sauter has also done well at Las Vegas in the past, finishing in the top 10 the last two years. He is also a previous runner-up in this race. I look for Sauter’s hot streak to continue tonight as he pushes Busch for the win.
Ben Rhodes is the defending champion of this race and he has +850 odds to win tonight. Rhodes is off to a nice start to the 2018 season, placing fourth in the first two races of the year. Now he comes to the track where he secured his first and only NASCAR win. I think Rhodes should have a lot of confidence for tonight’s race given his recent performances. That combined with his winning experience from last year makes him a good value wager tonight.
