Quaker State 400 Predictions
The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series holds the Quaker State 400 later tonight. Here are the three drivers we think will contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kevin Harvick is favored to win this race, as he is getting +250 odds. Other short odds to win are Martin Truex Jr. (+300), Kyle Busch (+400) and Kyle Larson (+800). The Quaker State 400 takes place tonight at 7:30PM ET from Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky. The race will air live on the NBC Sports Network.
Kyle Busch +400
Busch has incredible numbers at Kentucky in his career. Through seven races, he has two victories and five top-5 finishes. His average finish alone in this race is 5.1 and his driver rating is 125.9, which is best in the field by a wide margin. Busch is also having a tremendous year in the series. He, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. seem to be the ones winning most races so it certainly will be no shock if Busch takes the checkered flag tonight.
Brad Keselowski +1100
Keselowski is a three-time winner of this race in just seven tries. His average finish there is 12.6 and his driver rating is 109.6. This has been his most dominant track and he is getting more than 10/1 odds. He comes into tonight winless on the year and could use that victory to lock in a spot in the Chase. I think tonight will he his night to finally get on the board in 2018.
Denny Hamlin +2000
Hamlin comes in with some very long odds, but he has been pretty good at Kentucky. Over the seven races, he has three top-5 finishes. While he also has 2 DNF’s, when he is on the track, he is strong. That has been the case this year as well. Hamlin is winless, but when he hasn’t wrecked or had car trouble, he is right with the leaders. He has six top-5 finishes this year and I think he will have the chance to come away with a win tonight if he can make the right choices and stay out of trouble.
