Kenseth sneaks past Busch

LONG POND, PA (TheSpread) – Kyle Busch came up half of a lap shy of a fourth straight win on Sunday, which allowed Matt Kenseth to get the win in the Windows 10 400.

The race came down to fuel, as Joey Logano was in the lead late, but ran out of fuel, which allowed Busch to take the lead and he took the white flag in the lead and ran out of gas on the final lap. Martin Truex Jr. also ran out of fuel, which opened the door for Kenseth to streak to the win. Brad Keselowski finished in second. Busch ended up 21st.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kenseth came into the week with 15/1 odds to win, which means a wager of $100 on him to prevail will pay out an additional $1,500.

The win is the second of the season or Kenseth, but the finish for Busch hurts a little extra. He was going to qualify for the Chase had he not run out of gas, but the error keeps him outside the top 30 in the standings, which he needs to be in in order to qualify for the Chase. Kevin Harvick’s point lead fell to just 39 over Logano. Logano finished 12th while Harvick had car trouble and ended up 42nd.
